When the release of Suicide Squad was announced, I immediately thought of Viola Davis for Amanda Waller. It just fits so well for her. Despite the general displeasure for the first Suicide Squad, she has a killer filmography that backs up her place on this list.

Sally Field has had an illustrious career that has spanned over five decades. Field is known for her expansive catalog across film and stage. Her earliest roles include Gidget, The Flying Nun, and The Girl with Something Extra.
6. Florence Pugh
Although she’s only been on the scene for less than ten years, Florence Pugh has racked up almost 30 on-screen credits. Of course, some of my favorite Florence appearances are those in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But we can not overlook her roles in Midsommar, Little Women, and Fighting With My Family.
7. Jodie Foster
This megastar won two Oscars before she was 30. She has been on-screen since she was two years old, working in commercials. She has been in works such as Mayberry R.F.D., Taxi Driver, The Accused, and Silence of the Lambs. Jodie Foster has also been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her work as a director.
8. Saoirse Ronan
Hailed as one of the youngest actresses to be nominated for an Academy Award and the second youngest person to be nominated for an Oscar three times before the age of 24. We all know Ronan from her role in Hanna or Atonement, but Saoirse Ronan made her acting debut in a semi-recurring role on a TV show.
9. Julianne Moore
Her acting career has been fruitful since the 90s, and it doesn’t seem to show her slowing down. Julianne Moore is the daughter of a military judge and was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Aside from her role in blockbuster films, she is also known as the emotionally troubled woman in more minor, independent features.
10. Scarlett Johansson
ScarJo was not once but twice named the highest-paid actress in 2018 and 2019. Her films have grossed over $14.3 billion worldwide, making her the highest-grossing box office star of all time. So it’s only fitting that Johannson has aspired to be an actress since a very young age. Scarlett Johannson has a cornucopia of films to list, but my favorite ScarJo flick has to be Marvel’s Black Widow at the moment.
