In Hollywood, there is no shortage of terrible movies. Most recently, I would say Cocaine Bear was the dumbest film I have ever seen. After someone polled an entertainment forum asking for examples of the most terrible films in Hollywood, these movies were nominated as the worst.
1. Suicide Squad (2016)
Several DC Comics fans admitted their disappointment in the 2016 Suicide Squad film. Many noted, with such a big budget and a cast full of stars, how could they allow the script to be the downfall of the film?
2. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)
Several movie critics agreed, “The latest was Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, so bad it wasn’t even deserving to be watched ironically.”
3. Holmes & Watson (2018)
One recalls how there was not a single uttering of laughter throughout the entire screening of Holmes & Watson. This feels like one of those movies where the comedian is like, “Point the camera at me; it’s going to be gold!” But, unfortunately, it was not; it absolutely was not Mr. Ferrell.
4. The Master of Disguise (2002)
After watching The Master of Disguise in their youth, trying to watch it with a younger family member or a child is just unbearable. Whether it’s the horrible accents or the overly ridiculous customs, this movie is just short of intolerable, all except for the turtle scene, of course.
5. Cats (2019)
This was a truly unique cinematic experience. But let me clarify, Cats was a uniquely TERRIBLE cinematic experience. It was boring, poorly shot, and the acting was awful. This film almost ruined it for the musical.
6. Son of The Mask (2005)
My first thoughts after seeing this movie were, “What did I just watch?” This is the result of trying to replace the irreplaceable Jim Carrey. Jamie Kennedy’s career didn’t stand a chance between Malibu’s Most Wanted and The Son of the Mask.
7. The Last Airbender (2010)
This movie was so bad; despite an animated TV series that pronounces many character names, the live-action version got numerous characters’ names wrong. It was as if M. Night Shyamalan had no knowledge of the source material. It was almost like he had his own idea for a fantasy adventure, and the only way to make it was to say yes to The Last Airbender.
8. Skyline (2010)
First, let’s mention how the main character witnessed a nuclear explosion through a telescope at a reasonably close range and maintained full vision. I’m going to let that sink in… Then it only got worse from there. Many viewers noted that was the only reason they continued watching Skyline.
9. The Love Guru (2008)
Many agreed they would have rather seen an attempt at Austin Powers 4 versus whatever the Love Guru was supposed to be. Unfortunately, Mike Myers flew too close to the sun following the success of his British secret agent series. And just like Icarus in Greek Mythology, Myers came down, crashing and burning.
10. Alone in the Dark (2005)
Alone in the Dark featured some of the worst action sequences ever shown on a screen. I mean, seriously bad. This movie was a straight-up abomination; Tara’s incorrect pronunciation of Newfoundland was just the nail in the coffin.
11. Elizabethtown (2005)
Orlando Bloom plays a shoe designer who just recently lost his company, an industry record high amount of almost a billion dollars. On the verge of harming himself, he is interrupted by a family tragedy that lands him in an unexpected romance.
12. Child of God (2013)
Based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy, Child of God follows the tale of Lester Ballard in the mountains of 1950s Tennessee. Ballard constantly pursues a life outside of usual social constraints but is met with continuous failure, leading to his descent into a cave dweller.
13. Vampfather (2022)
Everyone knows and loves Danny Trejo for his highlighted film history, but this next one was a stinker. Danny Trejo starred in a flick where he is a Don Corleone-esque figure trying to get his family to change so they can meet with the changing society around them. Oh, I forgot to mention Trejo, and his family are vampires.
14. The Dark Tower (2017)
Confusing and incoherent, The Dark Tower did not hold up as well as the source material. Aside from being a terrible feature, it makes my list of worst book-to-screen adaptations.
15. Catwoman (2002)
2002’s Catwoman was as regrettable for the viewer as it was for everyone involved in the film. It was nice to see an attempt at highlighting a central DC Comics character besides Batman or Superman. But, at the end of the day, this film was just awful to watch. And don’t get me started on that sexually charged basketball game in front of all those little ones.
15 Surprising Movies That Boomers Were Forced to Watch in School
Everyone knows the feeling of walking into the classroom and seeing the TV on the rolling stand. It was a feeling of pure joy; you were either watching a film for educational purposes or you were watching a film because the teacher didn’t want to work on their lesson plan. One way or another, you knew you were watching a movie that day.

What movies would you rate as a 10/10 on every watch? I’ll go first and say The Godfather. It’s classic, and no matter where it is in the story, if I see it, I am sitting down and finishing it. The Godfather II is also a 10/10 in my book. After someone polled a film…
