Are there any jobs that you don’t think you would marry into? You’ve got company. After someone recently polled an online forum about which professions they would never marry into, here are their top-voted careers. Do you agree?
1. A Gynecologist
Long gone are the days women strive to marry a doctor, or at least not a Gynecologist. Several women suggest that this one is pretty self-explanatory. And I agree. You can do that math.
2. A Psychologist
Another profession that is less than favorable in this online forum is psychology. A thread contributor states, “People who graduated in Psychology tend to be more manipulative about everything. And would always guilt trip your conscience.”
3. A Flight Attendant or Pilot
Are you a jealous person or fearful of lying, cheating dirtbags? You’re not alone. One user admits they would never marry anyone who works as a professional pilot or flight attendant for an airline because “It’s too easy to cheat.”
4. A Real Estate Agent
Woo. This forum is not a fan of real estate agents. Numerous comments outline them as being shady, narcissistic, and willing to say or do anything to make a sale. Someone explains, “If you’ve never been scammed by one, you just don’t know enough about houses to know they screwed you over.”
5. A Mortician
Numerous forum members confess they wouldn’t marry a mortician. “I would feel like they’d bring home some good money but some bad vibes. That or a graveyard monitor or security. Also, bad juju vibes.”
6. A Psychic
After someone nominates psychics, another user jokes, “Should have seen that coming.” Finally, a third asks that if she is a faker as a professional, “imagine what she would be like as a girlfriend?” Alternatively, if she is a legit psychic, you could never surprise them. Him: “Guess what I got you?” Her: “A box of Godiva Chocolates.”
7. A Crypto Bro
Are you annoyed by crypto bros? You’re not alone. Several forum members admit they would never marry a crypto bro. Some aren’t even willing to be friends with them.
8. An Exotic Dancer
Is anyone really surprised that exotic dancers made this list? I’m not here to argue about women putting themselves through college. That is a tiny portion who somehow make it through “unscathed.”
Unfortunately, I’ve had the experience of knowing several of them, and they were doing any and everything but college. This profession usually comes with low self-esteem and a substance abuse problem.
9. An Influencer
Yes. Believe it or not, influencers are defined as a career and an extremely lucrative one for some. However, these forum members aren’t interested. One adds, “No chance you wouldn’t get roped into videos or ‘adventures,’ and trying to keep up with that bougie lifestyle sounds expensive and exhausting.”
10. Any MLM Boss Babes and Gabes
“Anyone who thinks their MLM scheme is a profession.” Yes, 100% this. It’s sad to watch these predatory systems somehow legally operate as an inverted funnel scam. Multiple thread contributors shared stories of people emptying their 401ks to “invest” in their “small business.” None of them made any money.
“I lost a potential significant other over that. I went to a rally.” This user elaborates on the sheer amount of “cult and religion-style propaganda” that shook them. “These people refer to themselves as diamond, emerald, sapphire, warrior, etc. MLM isn’t a profession. It’s business cosplay.”
11. A Standup Comedian
Standup comedians made this list. A man confessed to dating one who promised she wouldn’t use him as standup material. However, after they broke up, it was game on. “She used a lot of personal, private details about my life for a 15-minute bit.” He further noted who knows what would have happened after a divorce.
12. A Lawyer
Lawyers were all over the list as a profession people were unwilling to marry. One suggests marrying a divorce lawyer would be “too risky.” Another explains she is a lawyer and dated several before meeting her husband. “In my experience, arguments between two people who argue for a living can get intense.”
13. A Celebrity
Celebrities got no love when it came to nuptials in this thread. The idea of losing your freedom to step into a spotlight that’s not yours doesn’t sound appealing. “Yeah, I feel like marrying a celebrity takes the exclusive out of a mutually exclusive relationship.”
14. A Teacher
Several teachers in the forum stated that they could never date another teacher due to the career struggles involved with being a teacher: low pay, extra hours, and stress. However, others share they are with teachers and that they have to set boundaries, such as limiting the time they spend on school talk outside of work “because it’s so easy to get home, do work for school, complain about school, get ready for school, etc.”
15. A Soldier
Marrying a soldier would equal sleepless nights, too much time apart, and fear of losing your partner. One claims, “Take it from someone who is ex-military. It would also mean a ton of infidelity from both parties.”
16. A Restaurant Owner
Many suggest you avoid restaurant owners if you want to see your spouse. This is because you’ll no longer have evenings and weekends to do fun couple things or even family events easily. Others added that small business owners, generally “especially brick and mortar,” spend all their lives prioritizing work over you.
17. A Surgeon
Surgeons are mentioned all over the thread as “jocks with saws” who are unmarriable. Orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons were called out specifically for having “narcissistic personalities” and “God complexes.” However, despite those allegations, several users blessed them for saving lives. They just don’t want to marry them.
18. A Zookeeper
Zookeepers are another group of professionals people wouldn’t want to marry. But in this case, it’s because of the smell. A couple of zookeepers came into the comments to agree with those who claim the smell unbearable.
19. A Police Officer
The idea of dating a police officer when studies show 40% of them have been reported as domestic abusers is less than appealing to most. One explains that these are reported numbers, so the “actual number is higher.”
Another says the relationship she was in was narcissistic and abusive. Finally, a third says, good luck if they are abusive, “Who are you gonna call? Their coworkers? Where are you gonna go? They have access to national databases.
Cops protect their own. It’s too risky to be in a relationship with one.” It’s worth noting others were more concerned about marrying someone who is constantly “in the line of fire.”
20. A Politician
Politicians from either political party were voted unmarriable. A campaign staffer volunteers that they may consider dating a local politician running, but never one running for state or federal political positions.

25 Surprisingly Legal Things That Should Be Illegalized Immediately. Do You Agree?
An online forum recently discussed legal things they believe should be illegalized immediately. While I didn’t see this one listed, I’ll add that multi-level marketing (MLMs), otherwise known as network marketing, are pyramid schemes that found a loophole to operate legally, and it’s disgusting. Nonetheless, here are the things the forum decided on. Do you agree?

20 Top Professions That Seem to Attract the Worst Kinds of People
In your opinion, which profession attracts the worst kinds of people? I’ll go first and say sales. Good Lord. I was the manager of a cell phone store, and it’s cutthroat, and why I didn’t make it. It was my first and only time working for a commission, and I was dumbfounded at what people would do to make a sale.
